Fonds Brigitte-Perreault
The Fonds Brigitte-Perreault is dedicated to the humanization of care.
More specifically, this fund ensures the quality of care received and the safety of patients during treatment.
On December 12, 2004, Dr. Brigitte Perreault, gastroenterologist at CHUS, died of stomach cancer at the age of 30.
A few weeks earlier, the CHUS Foundation had accepted a proposal from fellow doctors and professors to create a fund in line with the values espoused by this doctor.
To perpetuate her memory, an eponymous fund has been set up, dedicated to the promotion of innovation in the field of care quality and safety. Every year since 2006, the Fonds Brigitte-Perreault has invested in projects focusing on patient quality of life, particularly in terms of safety and humanization, thereby making a concrete contribution to improving the quality of care and services provided by the CIUSSS de l'Estrie - CHUS at Hôpital Fleurimont and Hôtel-Dieu de Sherbrooke.
