2023 edition

For its 4th edition, the Défi Sportif intends to bring between 10 and 20 participants to the Draa Valley in Morocco. The event will be held next October for a 10-day trip among dunes, arid plateaus, oases and palm groves...

Although it is a sporting challenge, it is rated accessible (level 1+). Hiking for 4 to 6 hours a day is obviously done in the sand and under a desert climate with Saharan temperatures: preparation will therefore be required and regular training is required by the start, but there is no need to be an elite athlete to join this journey.

Indeed, this trek in Morocco does not present any particular technical difficulties, insofar as it is a camel excursion (pack camels carry all the logistical equipment - the participants only carry their backpack for the day). It is the ideal trip to discover and learn how to hike in the desert.

Price of the trip: approximately $2,850 + the plane ticket (approximately $1,000 - $1,500)

Each participant must also do a crowdfunding campaign and raise $3,000 in donations for the Fondation du CHUS.
