Yesterday evening was full of strong emotions for ten winners of the Grand tirage de la santé | Groupe Beaucage. In fact, this annual activity for the benefit of the CHUS Foundation ended yesterday, Wednesday, August 30, with a unifying event attended by the ten finalists and their families, but also by partners, sponsors, volunteers as well as representatives of eleven foundations working in the health sector involved in this draw.
The winners of the 24th edition of the Grand Tirage de la Santé | Groupe Beaucage!
The finalists knew last Friday that they were going to win between $2,000 and $200,000... The excitement was therefore tangible as soon as they arrived at the OMG Resto where the evening took place!
The prizes were awarded randomly, in descending order, and as a result:
- Mr. Philippe Cloutier, from Saint-Cyrille-de-Lessard, represented by his daughter, won the 10E prize, i.e. $2,000 in gift cards at Jean Coutu;
- Ms. Gaétane Guénette, from Lac-Mégantic, won the 9E prize: a $2,000 gift card to Club Piscine Super Fitness in Sherbrooke;
- The 8E Prize, a $2,000 gift card to Carrefour de l'Estrie, was given to Jean-Yves Roy, from Sherbrooke;
- Ms. Diane Roy, from Lac-Mégantic, left with a $5,000 gift card from Maison Bureau et Bureau;
- Ms. Isabel Crépeau, from Sherbrooke, is the winner of the 6E prize: a $5,000 gift card at Sports Experts in Sherbrooke;
- The 5E prize, a $5,000 gift card, was won by Ms. Nathalie Goulet, also from Sherbrooke;
- Ms. Joanne Blackburn, from Eastman, won a $5,000 gift card exchangeable at IGA and IGA Extra retailers in Sherbrooke;
- The 3E Prize, one year's worth of groceries at IGA and IGA Extra retailers in Sherbrooke (maximum value of $10,000) was awarded to Ms. Francine Bérubé, from Dudswell;
- Ms. Brigitte Gendreau from the city of Lorraine will be able to choose the color of her all-new 2023 Kia Sportage X-Line limited edition since she won the second prize, offered by Kia de Sherbrooke;
- And finally, Mr. René Caron, from Sherbrooke, was the big winner of the evening! He therefore has 3 options available to him: a Häelsa cottage from Maison Usinex with an allocation of $45,000, a Thor Sequence motorized by Elegance VR with an allocation of $10,000 or $125,000 in cash.
However, they are not the only winners at the end of this lottery since the $290,000 raised will be distributed through 11 foundations in Estrie in order to implement various projects in the region's hospitals, thus improving the care offered to the entire population here... In other words: all Estrians gain a bit!
On the side of the CHUS Foundation, the funds will be invested in the Mother-Child and Emergency Center (CMEU) at Fleurimont Hospital. Among other things, this new building will offer pleasant and warm spaces for children and their families as well as for emergency patients, the aim being to create a healing and human-centered environment.
