For a second year, the CHUS Foundation offered residents of Estrians an original, local and inclusive Valentine's Day evening option, in compliance with current health regulations: a box containing an all-inclusive couple's evening, from aperitif to dessert!
This initiative by the Relève Committee encourages restaurant owners and local producers, while raising money that is donated to the Fonds de l’Espérence. The mission of this fund is unique and goes a bit outside the usual framework of projects supported by the Fondation du CHUS since patients and their families are directly helped.
In fact, the Fonds de l’Espérence is entirely dedicated to families of children treated in pediatrics, neonatology and child psychiatry at the Fleurimont Hospital in need of occasional financial assistance during this period. Car rental, overnight stay in a hotel, meals in the cafeteria, travel expenses, support for the other children in the family, these are some concrete examples of the help provided through this fund.

Thanks to the 2022 edition of the Soirée St-Valentin, $30,100 will be donated to the Fonds de l’Espérence.
“It is important for us, the Relève Committee, to have a concrete impact in our community. In these difficult times, combining support for families with hospitalized children and restaurant owners in the region seemed ideal and really in line with our values,” commented Laura Pomerleau, committee member and co-owner of Noréa Foyers Pomerleau.
Of course, we must mention the contribution of local businesses that contributed not only to the realization of this project, but also to its popularity and attractiveness! Without the cocktails signed by Cherry River Distillery, the mouth-watering meals created by the O'Chevreuil restaurant, the restaurant O'Chevreuil, the Brasserie Les Enfants Terribles, the Café Massawippi and the Brûlerie Faro, the cheeses from the La Station de Compton cheese factory, the limes from the Metro Plouffe, the limes from the Metro Plouffe, the Limes from Metro Plouffe, the bottles of wine selected by Elixirs, the surprise of the LUV Boutique and the atmosphere created thanks to the soundtrack of DJ Louis Wax, the Soirée St-Valentin from the CHUS Foundation would not have been as attractive; in fact, she could not have been at all.
In the same vein, the CHUS Foundation would like to thank the 30 or so volunteers who worked intensively over three days in order to assemble, set up, distribute and deliver the boxes.
