In the end, the event, presented by Genesis Estrie in collaboration with Escapades Memphrémagog, brought in $64,900 that will be donated to the Fonds de l'Espérance. The event, which was postponed due to the pandemic in 2020, started again in full force this year by welcoming participants in a glamorous atmosphere. Fashion show, gifts, lip gloss bar and draw: everything was done to thank them for supporting the cause.

Indeed, the amount raised thanks to the generosity of the guests will help families of children cared for in pediatrics, neonatology and child psychiatry at Hôpital Fleurimont, and who need timely financial support during this difficult period.
“The Fonds de l’Espérance makes a real difference for families. It meets concrete needs that allow families to better live this difficult stage during which their child is cared for. For example, the Fund may allow parents to rent a car so they can drive their child to treatment, or provide parents with meals in the hospital cafeteria during longer stays in the institution or support services for other children in the family. These are needs that we don't always think about, but they are very real. By relieving the financial burden on families, parents can devote their energy to the recovery of the sick child,” says Martin Clermont, executive director of the CHUS Foundation.
