The 11th edition of the Souper gastronomique | Global Excel was held this evening in shades of blue for the benefit of the CHUS Foundation, at the Centre de foires de Sherbrooke. The theme, which is always a surprise for the around 500 guests until the doors open, was this year: under the sea.
It is therefore in an atmosphere that is as mystical as it is enchanting that the participants were able to enjoy a six-course meal, with wine pairing, concocted by chefs Dominic Tremblay and Maryse Carrier of the Massawippi Group and were able to enjoy several breathtaking artistic and acrobatic acts. Under the honorary presidency of the Mayor of Sherbrooke, Ms. Évelyne Beaudin, the event hosted by Alain Dumas was a great success.
Indeed, in addition to providing its guests with an exceptional evening, the Souper gastronomique | Global Excel obviously allows the CHUS Foundation to raise funds. This edition, presented by Custeau Group, BMO Financial Group, PMML — team Nick Raymond, Construction Dinamo and Sherweb, raised profits from $527,778 which will be invested in the establishment of a high-tech integrated operating room at Hôpital Fleurimont. This room aims to ensure the continuity of patient care by increasing the number of operations that can be performed each day.
This way, people here will have faster access to the surgery they need, and they will have access to it at home, close to their loved ones and their support network.
