This week, the CHUS Foundation launched an advertising campaign to boost the last wave of its major 2018-2022 fundraising campaign. This year's theme revolves around the concept of small donations: Small donations matter big. Indeed, it is the sum of all donations, big and small, that allows the CHUS Foundation to pursue its mission with as much impact year after year.
“It is very important to remember that it is the generosity of everyone that allows us to make a difference,” says Martin Clermont, Executive Director of the CHUS Foundation. “Each of the dollars given to the Foundation, put together, represents several million annually. Each donation has a multiplier effect on our ability to support the continuous improvement of health care and services that are offered right here in Sherbrooke. To continue our mission, all donations are essential. Not just the big ones.”
The campaign, which is available on television, radio, online and on outdoor advertising, will be broadcast throughout the Estrie region in the coming weeks.
The CHUS Foundation also took advantage of this advertising campaign to rejuvenate its brand image, website and communication tools in order to better share its mission with the population.
A promising project that is aimed at the entire population
The CHUS Foundation is thinking big thanks to small donations: it wishes in fact to finance a new operating room at the Fleurimont Hospital in Sherbrooke. The establishment of a high-tech integrated operating room, at a cost of $7 million, aims to increase the accessibility of patient care by increasing the number of operations that can be performed every day. This new operating room will make it possible to perform two to four additional operations per day.

“We hope that all Estrians will feel called upon to contribute, because we can do great things with small donations that are made with heart and generosity”, concludes Martin Clermont. Remember that all donations made to the Fondation du CHUS are used directly to support research and the humanization of care, as well as the improvement of technological equipment.
