We are pleased to be able to count on the financial support of the National Bank, in the amount of $1,000,000, as part of its major 2018-2022 financing campaign. This commitment will support several of the Foundation's key benefit events, and the company has also chosen to support a research project on developmental disorders among young people.

“We believe in the future of the CIUSSS de l'Estrie — CHUS and in the dynamism it brings to the region. Just like at the National Bank, people and the community are at the heart of the Foundation's initiatives. Our support for the launch of a new research chair and the presentation of the CHUS Foundation golf tournament starting next year confirm our support for the organization and our desire to contribute to the economic and social dynamism of Estrie,” said Éric Bujold, President of Banque Nationale Gestion Privée 1859.
Approximately one in four Canadian children has a developmental delay that can lead to health problems or academic and social difficulties. Access to services that meet the needs of children with developmental delays is often limited by long waiting lists.
The objective of the GRAND-IR Research Chair is in line with the youth action plan of the CIUSSS de l'Estrie — CHUS and for Ms. Chantal Camden, associate professor at the University of Sherbrooke and responsible for the project, this donation represents an important step in the realization of the research chair. “The Chair will allow us to develop specific projects with and for the most vulnerable families so that they can access screening and screening services. early interventions for their children with delays in development, and benefit from the support that can be offered in telerehabilitation or in school and community settings,” she explains.
The CHUS Foundation is privileged to be able to count on the financial support of dedicated companies such as the National Bank to carry out large-scale projects for the entire population of Estrie. Moreover, businesses in the region are invited to follow suit by supporting the major fundraising campaign.
