This system was tailor-made to meet the needs identified by the healthcare teams of the CIUSSS de l'Estrie — CHUS. Quebecor's contribution was essential in carrying out this project, which has a significant impact on the quality of care offered to patients in a hospital center who require an ambulance transfer to another hospital to obtain more specialized care.

“Quebecor is proud to be able to contribute to improving patient care in order to offer them the best chance of recovery. It is not just a stretcher, it is a great innovation that saves valuable time for teams and ensures safer transport for the patient. It is reassuring for the population of Estrie and it is important for us to participate in making a difference in the community.”

supports the President and CEO of Québecor, Mr. Pierre Karl Péladeau, adding that Québecor is proud to support hundreds of organizations annually across Quebec through its social engagement initiative Culture of the Possible.

This transport system makes it possible to provide faster and more efficient care at the bedside of a hospitalized patient, because the equipment is attached to the structure, thus reducing manipulations and offering a more ergonomic environment for the staff who accompany the patient.

“I thank the donor, Québecor, who eagerly supported the CHUS Foundation and who believed in this project from the start. The transport of patients who are already fragile involves certain risks, which is all the more reason to offer them the best conditions and ensure continuity in the quality of care during the journey”,

indicates the chairman of the Foundation's board of directors, Mr. Jean-François Bérubé.
